Mueller’s investigation stacked with biased anti-Trump, pro-Clinton agents

The bad news is that the deck was stacked against President Donald Trump from the beginning. The good news is that even with a stacked deck, special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has found nothing.

Mueller’s team, which is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, is under scrutiny because multiple team members have been found to have significant ties to Trump’s presidential rival — Hillary Clinton. This begs the question: was the special prosecutor’s team biased against Trump by accident or design?

Weissmann
Andrew Weissmann is a key prosecutor on Mueller’s team. The New York Times described him as “Mueller’s pitbull,” and characterized his controversial style as “relentless and boundary-grazing.” He’s also a committed liberal.

Weissmann praised then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates’ refusal to defend Trump’s travel ban in federal court last January, according to a Fox News report. Judicial Watch made the discovery in an email it obtained through a federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.

The email said:

I am so proud and in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects.
In addition, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Weissmann attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party last November at the Javits Center in New York City.

Weissman was also a former partner at WilmerHale, a high-powered law firm with ties to the Clinton family and the Democratic Party.

He was nevertheless appointed to Mueller’s team as an investigator — despite his obvious hyper-partisanship. So much for vetting.

Other Clinton-tied figures
At least two other Mueller team investigators — Aaron Zebley and Jeannie Rhee — were recently found to have significant ties to Clinton and the Democratic Party.

While a former partner at WilmerHale, Rhee represented the Clinton Foundation in a racketeering case and Hillary Clinton individually in a lawsuit that attempted to gain access to her personal emails. In addition, she represented Ben Rhodes, former President Barack Obama’s national security advisor.

Fox News reported:

Aaron Zebley, another former partner at WilmerHale and a former chief of staff to Mueller when he served as FBI director, represented Justin Cooper, a key figure in the Hillary Clinton email controversy.

Cooper is the longtime Bill Clinton aide responsible for helping set up the now-infamous private email server. Cooper later admitted to “two instances where he destroyed [Hillary] Clinton’s old mobile devices by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer.”
Citing still more conflicts of interest, Fox News host Sean Hannity observed during his Thursday night Opening Monologue that the entire Mueller investigation is now “crashing down.”

Clinton fan club
Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican was even more direct than Hannity.

“You’ve got Donald Trump being persecuted by Hillary Clinton’s fan club — that’s inequitable,” Gaetz, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News on Friday. “Many of the members of Mueller’s team donated to the Clinton campaign. We have a lot of highly qualified federal prosecutors in the Justice Department and we could have found a bunch of them who didn’t donate to either candidate. But that didn’t occur, and that’s troubling.”

James Trusty, a former high-ranking Justice Department official agreed, and told Fox News in an email Friday:

Mueller did not have to select attorneys who had made donations to, or even represented, Democratic candidates, but as those partisan connections are becoming clearer, it gives an appearance of bias that could have been avoided.

Add a lead investigator having a 10,000 text affair with an already dubious selection for the team (in terms of litigation experience) and you might start seeing a real death-spiral in terms of any public support for the investigation.
The last sentence was in reference to anti-Trump, pro-Clinton FBI agent Peter Strzok.

Strzok was dismissed from Mueller’s team after he was found to be involved in numerous Clinton and Trump investigations — despite expressing anti-Trump views in text messages to a paramour.

The Strzok revelations prompted Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., to wonder “what the hell” Mueller was doing with the investigation. Sean Hannity observed that Strzok was so busy working against Trump that “this guy never slept!”

The special counsel’s office had no comment on the allegations when requested by Fox News.
