It is abundantly clear Corker and Hensarling have not changed their positions of breaking up Fannie & Freddie for the benefit of TBTF banks. Both still want to strip the twins of insuring mortgages. Corker wants to create FMIC while Hensarling wants Ginnie Mae to take over that business, both Gov agencies. What is the Govt's track record that demonstrates they are capable of successfully operating an insurance business that covers a quarter of the American economy?
