December 18th will come and go, but what will the FCC do?

The point of my link to the PAI video was that I think Pai has his own agenda and AT&T is kind of messing it up for Pai. Pai was a lawyer for Verizon, now here he is in the position to move along the Verizon deal for Straight Path spectrum use, BUT.

But, on Dec 14th the commission has "Net Neutrality" on the block for a vote. Get that done and move ahead with the Verizon approval, BUT.

But, Trump doesn't want the AT&T / Time Warner merger to go ahead because Trump wants to choke CNN so badly. Yet the lawyers have to figure out how can you approve one and not the other. Not that some of them really care, as long as they keep living the good life in Washington.

So life is complicated for Pai - he likes being a big shot more than anything. The Chairman in some ways is the Charlie coyote in "The Roadrunner" show.

Wirelessman77. My thinking is it's a mess, and how it works out for the fat cats it will. Trick is the FCC itself runs out of regulatory prerogatives and time. Pai has to act or turn it over to the court by the 18th (maybe), and he can't do that unless he does his job, some say shilling, for Verizon. And if he does anything next the worry is that squash time is coming Pai's direction from the White House or the congress.

My thinking is I have no idea if Pai can survive, but whatever it is seems more pressing and growing more narrow as the days move ahead. At one time I think you said by the end of December for the spectrum decision- and you may be right. We all agree the total situation is intolerable.
