Here's the problem you don't have to jettison your best player if the deal is not good, this is on current management. superstars like this get a no trade in their contract. Most well run teams don't say my guy won the NL MVP, hit almost 60 homers, now is a great time to trade him for nothing and yes we will throw in some money as well. They walk away even if they want to cut payroll they just can't pull a trigger on a terrible deal like that or they pull away from teams saying if we don't get better offers we will not trade him you try to bluff, the problem is when you (and this is on current management) act like your desparate to trade him the return goes way down and you get back nothing. The only piece of good news I have is it is 30 million and it only kicks in if he doesn't opt out so that makes the deal a little better then I thought for the marlins. still terrible. The trade should be stopped out of fairness, just like a commisoner sometimes stops and absurd trade in fantasy sports but that will never be done. Nobody is expecting equal value but they should of at least come away with clint frazier in the deal.

As for the yankees I don't blame them your gm is a thief, he pedals that waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay not enough known as blake rutherford to the white sox, he trades away hurt player to the A's. I mean your guy is great at ripping off people so I guess since it is legal there is nothing wrong with it from a yankee perspective. Although at least the A's got some potential back if they heal up. But from a baseball perspective this trade is terrible for what it stands for that a team like the yankees can take advantage of the situation and a team like the marlins if you plan to run and organization like this you should be disbanded for crying out loud. The sad part about this if my GM had a brain and realized this the phillies are gonna stink, the braves are not that good, and the marlins are awful, even if you easily can't build a team better then the nats you could get a wc just by beating up the horrible division, but then again lets go get and old over the hill Ian Kinsler give up some young pitching to do and then think adam lind solves are 1b problem. If the mets gm thinks that he is clueless as usual. Well there is a good gm in NY and a GM who should have been fired and how he still has a job, what a team I root for. The knicks losing on the road to the bulls didn't help my mood either. And today we get to watch another turnover special by the great tom savage, I blinked and I missed the qb solution I thought I had there as well. All is just my opinion and I could always be wrong though.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
