If top prospects then jeter could argue look we are building a team for the future we are laying the ground work.

Hard to argue that much with that but like u stated does the deal smell enough to get mlb involved? Wonder what other owners are thinking?

I would have thought yankees would have learned their lesson any team for that matter with long term contracts but it sure doesn't look like it.
