I would trust a precise number (33 cents on the dollar) over an imprecise number (less than 50%) any day of the week. Precise math is always better than imprecise math. In case it's not clear, 33 cents on the dollar IS less than 50%

Given that the ultimate source for both numbers is the same (ONCI), you can't really claim that the 50% number, which is a MAXIMUM, is more authoritative than the 33 cent on the dollar number.

However, the 33 cent number is more precise AND post-dates the less than 50% number, suggesting that it was intended as a clarification.

I'm standing by that number.
