Would he not get that on the open market if he is a FA. Correct me if I'm wrong. I realized they were forced to trade him, because management doesn't care about baseball, and it is a joke they run a team this way. I get that he had a no trade the other alternative was simply spending the money keep in mind they guy probably opts out after 2020 anyways. so they get 35 million for what 3 years. How much is he making then a year?

If you were a marlins fans how would you feel. I know you don't care because you don't have to worry about management being cheap and not caring about the product and winning. It is absurd to trade and mvp actually give them money to take them, and get nothing back in return. Absurd.

Now since the marlins are in the state of giving how about my genius gm get on the phone and inquire about Ozuna or yelich, ozuna is gonna make probably 11 million this year why not get rid of him as well. But know that would require some effort by my GM to do something. Shaking my head.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
