I would not be surprised at all if AVID is a takeover target. I would hope the current administration will have time to improve the top and bottom line to make any deal more in line with shareholder expectations.
the true value of anything is what someone else is willing to pay for it. We could be in a sweet spot and reap a windfall. Once again having a BOD with skin in the game will hopefully also pay off for shareholders.
