If China is doing such a great job why are they the world's largest polluter ???

They know that. It's why they are so working extensively to correct it with wind and solar.

Yes, nature recycles everything. But it has a limited rate at which it can recycle waste. It's become very obvious it is far beyond it's limits in recycling fossil fuel waste at the current rate it is being produced. Well, obvious to most people.

In most cases the widespread use of solar and wind energy will make unnecessary long distance transmission of electrical power. That's especially true of solar. Install solar panels on every roof and power loss is near zero. Instal wind electric turbines in close proximity to large cities and it's minimal. Once the cost is recouped, the energy is almost free, except for maintenance. And the maintenance and social cost savings for both solar and wind far outstips fossil fuels.

Don't be fooled by the recent shale boom. Only the naive think that it alone will extend the life of fossil fuels to infinity. There will always be need for energy, but there isn't an endless supply of fossil fuel to provide it. It will run out eventually.

To me, this isn't a political concern, it's a life concern. Leave politics out of it.

Don't bother furthering this argument. We can go back and forth endlessly to no avail.
