RE;RMTD yes it is 'mind blowing " that a company would accept "death spiral funding " ( please goolge the term if you need a definition of death spiral funding ) BUT it was and remains a primary source of obtaining operating capital for micro -cap companies which have no access to legitimate investment banking...these deals are done for the most part with bottom feeder hedge funds .
THESE deals always destroy current shareholders as the resulting dilution almost always makes shares existent at the time of the funding worthless and the selling as the discounted shares are sold into the market drives the price per share to ZERO...
RMTD engaged in REPEATED LARGE DEATH SPIRAL FUNDINGS which is why their fully diluted shares outstanding rose continuously to HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF SHARES AND WHY THE company needed to authorize ANOTHER SEVENTY BILLION SHARES .( go to S.E.C..GOV and look at filings they are all still there and available ) check price history of RMTD IN 2009 AND 2010 and you can see that the large death spiral fundings and conversions drove the price to ZERO ...
THIS IS WHY it is so important to review S.E.C filings before investing in a micro -cap stock ...any discount death spiral fundings are disclosed in filings ..and I.M.H.O. these stocks should be avoided ..
hope this helps...re; RMTD
