Ayock: What would fix poverty overnight for many people would be a clamp-down on food inflation by the big-package companies and a one-payer health system. I don't want one-payer, but it would help the economy. Canadian one-payer is a joke because there is no opt-out--ie., patients cannot "go private" as they can in the U.K.
