If you're referring to how many players are online then yes it's a real # as it's posted consistently on sites that monitor available servers and list player counts. Not sure how you would be able to inflate this number. Besides it they wanted to inflate the #'s why not go all out and report a few thousand concurrent players rather then a few hundred.
