He served as Vice President of Sales & Distribution for REALVIZ Corporation and was responsible for both Direct and Indirect operations in The Americas. He served as Regional Sales Director and General Manager of Channel Sales for Discreet Logic Incorporated, a division of Autodesk. He served as Global Corporate Business Manager for Silicon Graphics Incorporated and Senior Partnership Manager of Tandem Computers, a division of Hewlett-Packard where he was responsible for driving strategic business deals and partnerships across various industries with key customers, strategic innovation partners, OEMs, key accounts and third-party software vendors. He served as the Deputy Director of the Industrial Development Agency and the Division of Economic Development for the Town of Brookhaven. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency. He served as a Director of PureSafe Water Systems, Inc. since 2015. Mr. Michel served as a Director of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center Inc. since July 2009. He was the Commissioner of Economic Development and Workforce Housing for the County of Suffolk, New York.
