I'm sorry to hear that about your wife. People don't realize or don't understand that while smoking is a personal choice, the cost of treatment for the resultant diseases is borne by everyone.

Seatbelts in cars caused everyone's car insurance to decrease due to far fewer serious injuries leading to death and the parimutuel construct of the insurance markets. (which is also the problem with younger, healthier people opting out of the ACA) As will be the case with VLN ciggies.
