I don't think so. It is pretty common for a fired CEO to keep his options etc. They probably did not want to disclose the reason for the firing because it is diplomatic to not throw your ex CEO under the bus. It does not accomplish anything for the company by doing so. To me, the clue as to the reason Dan was ousted was Lombardo's statements emphasizing the desire to unlock shareholder value and the reference to the four sub-platforms as "franchises." That indicated that they have changed direction to a monetization strategy.
