You seemed somewhat negative on OmegiaVia EPA in the past . Does your colleagues experience change your view at all ?.....3gms a day is only costing him about $45 a month .

The Cardiologist , Milton Packer ( Medpage ) is of the view that payers are trending towards only providing low cost coverage to the subgroup showing the most benefit and then higher copays for the remaining groups..

The last time I brought Vascepa at full retail price it was $246 ....so with Tier 3, 50% co pay it would have been $123 and using Amarins coupon would save another $80 ( in my case in Ca ) bringing cost down to $43 a month 4 gm dose ...which is a great deal .

But in this example it requires an insurance Co to provide a 50% copay and an Amarin $80 Coupon..

Amarin needs to keep its Coupon plan in place to prevent patients migrating to lower cost options like OmegiaVia EPA and hope Insurance Co's will continue to provide at least a 50% copay.
