Here is one you will like. In the "projects" (in a city I won't name), when it comes income tax time, welfare recipients sell social security numbers of their children to low income friends, to scam the Earned Income Credit program. The children's SS# is not a part of the welfare records of recipients, therefore, there is no means to track if those SS #'s are used on other tax returns, in that state. In other states, I would assume, if that scam is played, it is because there is no cross reference to verify those types of scams.

The housing project I am speaking of, has a spring time seafood outdoor party with the money the sellers of SS #'s get for their part in the scam. Money is pooled and spent at a seafood market for a huge party on the money they made selling those SS #'s.
