Yes, sharpening knives is a real pain. When I lived in Italy, there were places where they'd do it for you in just about every neighborhood. Here, not so much. I don't know of any at all.

So last spring I saw a sharpening stone on sale at the local hardware store. Really cheap. But when I got it home, I realized I'd need mineral oil. And that the process would probably be kind of messy.

So I still haven't done it. And my main knife really needs a new edge...
