A couple of problems w/ this PR.

1) it says that MCIG "applied for" a license for "manufacturing" (aka, production) of mj. It doesn't say cultivate.

Wrong again bubs! Read the PR once more, I guess you just overlooked this part...

MCIG is seeking a license for the manufacturing medical cannabis, which according to the California Department of Public Health, California Code of Regulations Title 17 would allow MCIG to do the following:

Produce, prepare, propagate, or compound cannabis products.

From the Merriam Webster Dictionary...

to cause to continue or increase by sexual or asexual reproduction...

...The origins of propagate are firmly rooted in the field of horticulture. The word was borrowed into English in the late 16th century from Latin propagatus, the past participle of the verb propagare, which means "to set (onto a plant) a small shoot or twig cut for planting or grafting." Propagare, in turn, derives from propages, meaning "layer (of a plant), slip, offspring." It makes sense, therefore, that the earliest uses of propagate referred to facilitating the reproduction of a plant or animal...

...Examples of propagate in a Sentence

We are discovering new ways to propagate plants without seeds.
He propagated the apple tree by grafting.
The plants failed to propagate.

...as for...

Later in the same PR, it says that MCIG "will begin" its application for a "cultivation and distribution", meaning they haven't completed their application for a CULTIVATION License from the state of California.

...the actual quote from the PR says...

mCig will begin its application for a commercial cultivation and distribution license for California, expected to be available January 2018. The company is preparing for this licensure now, ensuring that it is compliant with all known regulations.

The first quote refers to a license to produce/propagate/cultivate medical marijuana. These licenses have been available in California for a number of years. The second quote refers to applying for a license for "commercial cultivation and distribution". These licenses will not be available until 2018. No one can say they've completed an application for these licenses since the state has not yet completed drafting the requirements for these licenses.

...and to your point...

Plus, California City has maxed out w/ cultivation permits. They appear to have production permits still available.

But, at this moment in time - it looks like MCIG is a day late and a dollar short for actual mj cultivation in California City.

As I said before, this is pure speculation. You don't know if mcig already has a permit from California city or if the land was permitted before mCig even made the offer.

Debunked Again!
