Directors are not required by any law to own stock in a corporation. They usually do but saying DIRECTORS OWN STOCK, is not as absolute as you indicate.
They can be required to be stockholders by a corporation's bylaws etc. and I haven't gone back to check on this corporation to see. Maybe you can post that if they are required to in this case.
But as an absolute rule? NO
No idea about McCusker or not. Doesn't really matter to me. But unless it's in the bylaws somewhere he is not required to.
