My response is don't believe much of what you read about these trucks. Tesla is trying to market their truck. Like I've been saying the hype is over the top, so to speak. The proof will be in actual usage.

I'll take exception to the statement about the 5% grade and how this truck can do 65 mph while a diesel can only do 45mph. That s a completely false statement. Whoever wrote that knows nothing about a diesel truck. Something might have effected that result. The Tesla has no gears. Push the pedal and the faster it goes. Not sure if the Tesla is governed to a certain speed or not.
A diesel truck doesn't work the same and gearing makes a difference.

I can also tell you a battery engineer told me some time back that the faster you charge a battery the more life you loose on the back end. I believe his number was 20% for every time you fast charge.
