Ascent Solar Technologies Inc (ASTI)

I would not have a clue, but I am fairly confident that ASTI will never be a major contender for space. And, this is the market that they claim to be changing focus to.

I also got some clarity from this whole JAXA thing as I have seen some misconceptions about it:

The original IKAROS solar sail DID NOT HAVE ASTI PANELS ON IT.

It is only now that Jaxa is looking at using ascent...and we see that even that is delayed.


FYI: Surprisingly ASTI is cheaper. I believe that was the reason JAXA agreed to "evaluate" them.


I don't see ASTI as a space contender. I do see them as a military contender for the simple fact you beat the sh*t out of their panels and they still work.

I don't see anyone holding ASTI stock making any money.
