The shorts don't know anymore than the "longs" ! They just bet on Biotechnology stocks that aren't close to having trials finished. If I were shorting stocks I would be in the biotech world looking at the stocks that aren't ready to release any real info and short them before end of year tax selling it's something I'm sure they do on a consistent basis year in and year out! They short the stock in October pushing down share price then a month or more later the retail investors say heck I may as well sell out my shares and take a loss since no news will be coming out and I will get a loss on my taxes. Then the share price goes even further south allowing shorts to make even more money and then with one fell swoop the short covers his positions in December and enjoys a very nice Christmas ! Allowing the retail investors to buy back the shares they sold at a much higher price....Priceless! AUPH will run back to $7 quickly after the new year in my opinion!
