....i read a devotional this morning and as i often do...i sat and thought on it for a spell. We live life each day and yes of course...we sometimes get detracted and take our eyes off Jesus and let the glitter and gold of the world attract us...and we sin. And we need to remember...with all sin...there are consequences. Sometimes our sin can not only bring correction and discipline from God...but our sin often times effects our loved ones be it family or friend. The old saying you dont do wrong and get by is especially true when it comes to our disobedience to God and His word. With that said...and yes this is a little extreme in a life altering event thru sin...but read and think about this. Sometimes...our flesh and satan can lead us down a road..thru sin..that there is no return back to the way life use to be.......
.....How many people have flirted with sin only to find they have fallen into a miry pit? I think of a man who was away on a business trip, and he saw a very attractive prostitute on the same side of the road. He stopped his car and picked her up—a man who had never done anything like this before in his life; a man who had a wife and two kids at home; a man who was a respectable businessman, but now was far from home. He picked her up. When he woke up the next morning he was disgusted with himself and went into the bathroom to wash his face. There on the mirror written in lipstick were the words, "“Welcome to the world of AIDS.”"
