I have invested in operated in third mining world companies such as Gran Colombia and have , every time, been disappointed with the respective governments who change the rules such that the company suffer.

I'm sure that the management of Gran Columbia are doing the best but it seems that all third world mining stock always get hammered when the government takes over or nationalizes the company assets.

This has occurred in Venezuala, Ecuador, Peru and others in Central or South America. Property laws are quite finniky, changeable in these places..

I only feel comfortable investing in mining, exploration companies that operate in North America.

Sometimes it is smart to be cautious when investing.
