I am a newbie to the boards, and appreciated reading the great input over on the ALDW forum. Realized some nice profits and distributions on CVRR and ALDW recently, and today used some of the proceeds to take a position in MKL under $28. I expect to get into EPD and NGL before the new year. I also have some RDS/B. I am not a heavy hitter, but like to spread the risk around focusing now on companies with a history of stable and preferably consistently increasing payouts. MLP’s will likely remain a low percentage of my stocks.

FYI, I’ve been treated well by ETY, PCI and MAIN for monthly high income and moderate appreciation for over 5+ years. The first two are closed end funds, conservatively leveraged. MAIN is a BDC which I found following much research after PSEC appeared in need to reduce it’s payout a few years back.
