Both perceived value and appraised value can often remain Unrealized Value FOREVER. For YaSheng and many other Chinese companies (with the truly destructive and debilitating SCAMS built into, through and around them), stand as testaments to this thesis. This is my take based on both what I've seen, and unfortunately have experienced.
