I really get a chuckle out of the suggestion that when someone buys FLPC or any stock, the money goes into the pockets of the BOD for their personal use.

When somebody purchases shares of any stock, they obtain those shares from two places and two places only on the open market...

1) Another investor who sells, usually at the "bid," while an investor who buys, usually purchases at the ask as determined by the market and brokers, who can range from one or two to many on a particular stock.

2) A broker who has a basket of shares on hand to make transactions.
It is the job of the broker to make sure the market runs smoothly.
So, they carry shares on hand to sell, and often buy themselves on the open market or collect shares from those who sell if nobody is willing to buy.
