I once had ALB, FMC, and SQM on watch lists, but finally dropped them several years ago only to look now and they've tripled off the lows! So missed the boat there unfortunately. Rinear mentions MGPHF, which is up 10 fold..
I remember following the Lithium ETF (LIT) but it just kept dropping, similar to the Rare Earths ETF (REMX), and I finally lost interest. Now these have doubled from the early 2016 lows.
Oh well, but as you said there will be an inevitable market decline which will create a lot of great opportunities for investors with dry powder near the bottom. It looks like 2018 might turn out to be the 'crash' year for stocks.
