Your assumption.

My message was nothing more than a reference to my investment mantra. Surely you remember that.

JLS investment mantra:

Only invest in the strongest stocks in the strongest sectors.

So I merely looked at the major indices that a lot of investors like to trade while sometimes using 2X and 3X derivatives of those indices to enhance their volatility.

I discovered that $RUT was one of the stronger major indices in terms of up/down movement so I merely compared a semiconductor index tracker, SMH (or I could have used $SOX) to $RUT.

So ... recently SMH has been stronger than RUT during the recent incline; but prior to recent history, RUT was stronger in the down direction (which is investable) than SMH. Instead, I choose to trade a strong stock, MU, which is in that semiconductor index.

My use of the phrase spoon fed was in the context that the pictures of the charts were sufficient and I would not have to spell out every little detail as I apparently have to do now.

As for being a moderator ...

I could not even mildly consider that. I've managed people throughout my professional career, starting right out of engineering college. I have no need or desire to manage people anymore, or even work in any position professionally. So I retired in my mid 50's. More accurately, a startup company I was working for as a consultant went out of business and I decided to not look for any other opportunities. I had nothing to prove and had saved enough to be able to move along on my own.

My experience with how individual message boards are moderated indicates to me that, by far, most board moderators choose to do that because they never had a chance to successfully manage people before -- and probably for good reason.

In fact, I think that internet message board entities are very poorly managed at the highest level, and I don't want to be subject to their poor management impositions.
