So sad when you just can't see the forest for the trees!
Think of it, a major U.S. political party colluded with their party’s presidential nominee to, by extension, hire an ex-spy who colluded with Russians and concocted a dossier filled with “salacious and unverified” (as former FBI Director James Comey once described it) accusations against an opposition party candidate.
If that isn’t Russian collusion, then what is?
The Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party by extension paid Russian operatives to create a dossier filled with unverified information which led to a phony-baloney narrative to destroy Trump during (and after) the 2016 election.
Even CNN reported the dossier was “cited by FBI Director James Comey in some of his briefings to members of Congress…as one of the sources of information the bureau has used to bolster its investigation.” (Geth the FISA warrant!)
Last February, the Washington Post reported the FBI “reached an agreement” to pay Steele “to continue his work” because “U.S. intelligence agencies reached a consensus that the Russians had interfered in the presidential election by orchestrating hacks of Democratic Party email accounts.”
“The idea that the FBI and associates of the Clinton campaign would pay Mr. Steele to investigate the Republican nominee for president in the run-up to the election raises further questions about the FBI’s independence from politics, as well as the Obama administration’s use of law enforcement and intelligence agency for political ends.”
News broke today that former Trump campaign head Paul Manafort was hit with 12 charges by special counsel Bob Mueller. They are basically charges for money laundering and alleged criminal wrongdoing in his work with the former government of Ukraine.
In their investigation, Mueller and his team of Russia-obsessed crackpots went down every little avenue they could in order to dig up dirt. What they ended up finding doesn’t really seem to have anything to do with the 2016 campaign that put Trump into office, but it does involve some shady financial dealings. Instead of showing that Manafort was working with Russia in 2016, the allegations show that he was allegedly engaged in shady tax dealings, money laudering and other activities long before ever taking on leadership of Trump’s campaign.
This stuff is in the distant past, but count on Mueller and his ridiculous witch hunt to go after Manafort and blame him for every little detail he forgot to do right.
That’s where things get interesting. As Red State Watcher reports, Mueller’s investigation has also exposed a prominent Democrat lobbyist for being involved.
In 2012 Manafort was found to have had suspicious wire transfers put into his account from foreign sources. At the time Manafort was working with none other than sicko John Podesta’s brother Tony Podesta.

Two senior American diplomats, thinking their conversation about the Ukraine was secure and private, were caught disparaging the European Union in a phone call that was apparently bugged, and U.S. officials say they strongly suspect Russia of leaking the conversation. The suspicions were aired Thursday after audio of the call was posted to the Internet and amid continuing criticism of the United States in Europe and elsewhere over NSA spying on foreign leaders and U.S. They also came as the Russia-hosted Winter Olympics opened under tight security to prevent possible terrorist attacks and highlighted distrust between Washington and Moscow that has thrived despite the Obama administration's attempt to "reset" relations with the Kremlin.
The White House and State Department stopped just short of directly accusing Russia of surreptitiously recording the call between the top U.S. diplomat for Europe, Victoria Nuland, and the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt. But both took pains to point out that a Russian government official was the first or among the first to call attention to the audio of the conversation that was posted on YouTube. The State Department said the incident marked a "new low in Russian tradecraft."
An aide to Russia's deputy prime minister, who was among the first to people to post a video online containing a bugged phone call between two U.S. diplomats, says neither he nor the Russian government played a role in leaking the tape.
Dmitry Loskutov told The Associated Press by phone on Friday that he was surfing a social networking website on when he came across the video. He said his decision to repost the video had no connection to his work for the Russian government.
Senior US State Department official Victoria Nuland has allegedly been caught giving a harsh message to the EU while discussing Ukrainian opposition leaders' roles in the country's future government. The phone call was taped and posted on YouTube.
