So,in a nutshell. The two A&M universities of Louisiana have been given exclusive rights to produce and conduct research on the medical use of cannabis. Those two universities are Southern University and Louisiana State University. Each university selected a producer to grow the cannabis and develop a medical product to be distribute for medical prescriptions only. The State of Louisiana will only allow the medical marijuana to sold as a creme, pill, etc....anything but in the bud format. GB Sciences was selected by LSU for a duration of 5 years with an option to renew if the endeavor proves to be a profitable one for LSU. Another grower was selected for Southern University. The state of Louisiana will selected 10 dispensaries for the distribution of product for medical patients.
