What remain questions are, why was a U.S. military unit out-gunned on their recon mission and was it a failure of U.S. intelligence?...And why wasn't U.S. air power at the ready to help a recon mission gone bad? - since we're in Africa because we're chasing ISIS, one would think our military, including air power, would be prepared for any confrontation.
Another mystery is why was Lt Johnson separated from his unit while on a "routine" recon mission? - reports say his body was recovered one mile away from the unit's fire fight.

As we learned from the VN war and U.S. invasion of Iraq, the U.S. military will tell us what they want us to know - and no more.

And as for the "moron", to quote SoS Tillerson, in the oval office, he has no clue what is going on and is guided by a former Marine who's willing to say whatever the "moron" tells him to say.
