I'd have to think if he's had an eight loss track record up until now, then the odds are in our favor for two main reasons...

Firstly, facts are that approximately 9 out of 10 businesses fail. He's had experience failing, which is the * ONLY WAY * that leads to success. Unlike children, most adults do not get back up after one or two failures so they never see success. It's a pretty rare individual who doesn't give up very easily.

(Actually, there really is no such thing as failure unless you quit... Otherwise, it's really only the feedback which you need if you keep going until you succeed.)

Secondly, I believe most people do care what other people think at least to some degree. Who wouldn't want to be considered to be successful?
