and if Tiger beer is a brand from (Heineken) ABP, NSAV can not use it or need permission. imo

That was discussed the moment it was known that JT came up with the name "Tiger Hemp Beer", which I thought was a blatant ripoff of "Tiger Beer" and I disliked the name choice. Frankly, I thought "why even take a CHANCE of a possible lawsuit over the name if Tiger Beer (or Heineken) learned of Tiger Hemp Beer and it pissed them off?" Indeed, why even go there to begin with and start a brand that would be going down a possible dead end? Well, some conclusions I came up with was that JT and wife simply love litigation and that one, or both, of them are lawyers themselves. Or, perhaps, they have a friend who does the litigation for them pro bono. (Or, well, maybe they just didn't give a crap and simply hoped, before a lawsuit, that the share price would be high enough for their liking.)

But a funny thing happened when I checked about Tiger Beer's trademark.

Apparently, if I read that stuff correctly, "Tiger Beer" no long has that trademark. (Did Tiger Beer screw up or no longer cared about that trademark? Or is there more to this then the above? Indeed, why would the, seemingly, abandon that trademark to begin with after all these years?)

Again, did Tiger Beer screw up, or not even care any more, about that trademark and, so, opened the door for JT to come in with the name "Tiger Hemp Beer" and do it legally?

Well, according to the above I would say "Yes!". But I'm not checking any further. =P
