...i graduated from South Greene High School in 1974...actually...my diploma was kinda sorta a gift...but thats all ill say about that. So by 1977 i was well on my way to what was to be a total of 25 years of drugs and booze...actually...my last three years at SGHS i majored in drugs and booze and minored in anything that had to do with school...so...i guess that tells a little more of that story...~wink~...Now i remember bits and pieces of much of my life...that whole two remaining brain cells that i sometimes speak of...and...sometimes...well...actually i often hear of things and i think...no way..thats not been that long ago...has it? So for this ole hippy of yesteryear and a die hard rock n roll man...and as we know how time truly does seem to fly by....i heard today is the 40th anniversary of something that i do remember very well...October 20th 1977...the plane of Lynyrd Skynyrd crashed...40 years....wow!...i think Lynyrd Skynyrd is probably the only rock n roll band i never saw from the late 1960's to early 1980's...the reason...sometime before 1977..of course...they were in Knoxville and was going to be there two nights...so the first night even though some of our friends went...me and my cousin Austin didnt because i was way to high and Austin was baby sitting me...Austin did that a lot.....we were going to go the next night...and the next night...we were both to wasted to drive...so...never saw Lynyrd Skynyrd and they were one of many favorites..so my point...hummm...time has made a awesome change in me!
