You sound like desperate, and now you are placing all your chips in one bet. Regardless if you end up recovering your money I'd recommend you stay away of the stock market (and/or crypto-currencies for that matter) or invest in a passive way (low cost index funds) without checking your account every 30secs. Based on your characterization it looks like your are posed to lose all your money eventually. With over $1MM in invested assets you already had plenty to live comfortably.

Anybody that invest in the stock market should be prepare for big droughts and have the temper to keep one's the strategy.

Consider the $960K the most expensive tuition you could ever have. I'm sorry to be harsh but I think you need a wake-up call.
