I know I'm responding to an older post, but I was away from electronics for a week. This subject could be taken to the Computer learning board as well.
I've noticed firefox has at least 5 services running at the same time with one browser open. That is not right. FF uses at least 2 services with their newer versions purposely for faster operation.

I will be doing a lot of research on this problem but will post to the CL board with this. Ihub has it's own problems, but FF sucking up resources isn't Ihub's fault at all.
