The case is Power Up Lending Group v. iTalk et al. iTalk is not the only defendant in the case, and it is likely the attorney for one of the other defendants appeared. Not for iTalk.
Usually in these types of lending agreements, a person has to personally guarantee the loan. Usually an officer of the Company. I would bet they are the "et al" in the case and they are the one defending themselves. Not iTalk.
