Oren, you cannot tell if the two drugs are synergistic or not. There are many drugs which if used together have better results than if used in sequence. One example is Nivolumab plus Ipilimumab in Melanoma. The combination is more toxic but yet more effective .
The same happens with Epacadostat plus Pembolizumab in melanoma again. Epacadostat has hardly any effect as monotherapy but in combination with a PD1 inhibitor it almost double its efficacy with a clear synergistic effect.
In fact we have seen some synergy in the Avastin plus VB 111 combination vs Avastin alone as proved by loger survival in the second part of ph2
