There are different type of shell companies. You have the dark ones with the stop signes on OTCM. Some are still active on SOS though. If they are not, then reinstatement is a sign. Another sign is if they start filing Q's again. You have also shells that are current on OTCM. Often they announce a RM in a Q, or they file an 8k about change of control. And you never know how long it takes. Can be days, or months.
