No, they don't get that much snow "on the ground". If a place gets 50 inches of rain a year it doesn't mean there is 50 inches of water depth everywhere. The turbine sits on a 10m (33 foot) pole. There are also 20m and taller mounting poles available depending on the terrain. It is ludicrous to say it would be affected by snowfall. Look closely at the picture of the WindCutter. There isn't any place for snow to accumulate.

200 units isn't going to power much. This isn't the concept of a big gigawatt-scale wind turbine farm to power hundreds or thousands of homes. The application being addressed by the customer in Canada is to utilize the WindCutter as part of a hybrid system including solar and battery storage in remote locations. I have been completely off-grid at my Wisconsin compound for years. When the sun isn't shining for days in the winter, the wind is normally blowing. I have three turbines for redundancy.

The WindCutter is not economically viable for all situations. It is not meant to be and doesn't need to be. We only need thousands of units a year and not millions to have a market cap to support a multi-dollar stock price. There are many like me that use renewable energy to take control back from the power companies and leave a cleaner environment for our children and grandchildren. Along with people like me, there are a multitude of niche markets like bridges, ships, cell towers, mines, islands and other remote locations where the WindCutter as part of a hybrid system is a viable alternative to diesel generators where they are unreliable and it is expensive and difficult to obtain a steady supply of fuel.

The 200 units is just a start for a few remote locations in a small part of Canada for one customer. The potential is huge once the data from these first couple installs is available. They are both excellent wind locations and will have great results.
