I suspect that a rep. for the Newfoundland Canada project and others have been invited over to check out the prototype at Willow Springs Raceway. Perhaps the raceway was incentivized to accommodate such visitors?
Somebody double check my facts, but...I would imagine that Canada needs much more than 200 units depending on their needs. In a wind of 7 m/s, the Windcutter generates 3460kWh on an annual basis. I don't know about this island in Canada, but in the U.S. the avg. household use 12,000 kWh per year. They'll need more than 200! Let's stay tuned.
