Isn't this nice of Scottrade, as a courtesy to me, they're going to remove some stock. Now, how exactly do I provide something to ST so that they don't take away my 'worthless' stock? I have more than a few 'worthless' stock and a couple of them deemed worthless all of a sudden got life at some point. If this was so worthless, why are they making me waive and claim to future distributions from the security in the future?

Recently the above listed security held in your Scottrade® account has been deemed worthless or invalid. We are notifying you that as of 10/12/2017, there is no available bid price or market to sell these shares and as a courtesy they will be removed from your account. Unless you provide Scottrade with evidence of the validity of the security within sixty (60) calendar days of this notice of removal, you agree to waive any claim to any future distribution from the security and agree to indemnify and hold Scottrade harmless from any claims, liability, or damages resulting from the removal of such security. If you provide Scottrade with evidence of the validity of the security from an independent third party within sixty (60) calendar days of receiving the notice of removal, Scottrade will reinstate your position.
