Fowler likely left because he didn't have the first clue about 510k submission. He was in way over his head and he knew it. It is however a reflection on the judgement of the CEO and BOD that they would fill that position with someone unqualified to hold that position.
Glad he's gone in retrospect.
Current management light years better.
