On the road to recovery now. So I do not mind sharing a little. Probably unnecessarily private but that is just how I am wired.
They took out a class 1 meningioma (brain tumor) from my head on Tue Oct 10. Having never had anything worse than a knee surgery I assumed it would be tough, but tolerable. Don't ya hate it when reality looks at you and laughs? Man this has been the most humbling things ever. Granted I am only on day 6 and things are going awesomely.
It was about the size of a tennis ball I guess. But completely benign and in the 75% class of very slow growing. Should just watch it from now on to make sure it doesn't need radiation or another little slice way down the road.
Main lingering issue is mainly a left leg that tires quickly and gets heavy. They assure me that will go away and I will be back to 100% but it will take a few months. But everything is a big deal when you don't feel normal and I am having to work hard mentally to head off anxiety over every weird feeling.
Thanks to all of the friends and family and amazing Dr and nursing staff that I dealt with. I truly was blessed through this experience.
