I knew one of the guys that was a Senior Exec during the Fruit of the Loom acquisition. They kept him on as he was heavily involved in sales, but they made him cut his rent and work from home, haha. Before he left, he was telling me all the changes that were being made to hold people accountable; as he called them, the "Buffett people" came on and started putting in serious management safeguards and cost and internal controls.

I don't know about other people, but I tend to forget that Buffett doesn't just pick "good stocks," but when he makes an acquisition, the intention is to improve the bottom line and make more money, particularly, of course, when they become an operating subsidiary.

Good stuff. Thanks.
