Dutch, I wish for a favorable settlement too, believe me....But there is NO settlement yet!
If there was one, the Horns would be Blowing, the Piano would be Blasting, all the party Hats would be sold out, hopefully not where the I-Co's reside, and the PR would be transmitted as fast as Is Humanly possible if everything was already settled? We would get a lot more info than just the bare tidbit of news, which didn't come from the people in charge of it all by the way?
A few things seem to be "Ironed-out," but not the full range of issues yet? But maybe other things have been settled as well, but may be released later on for whatever reason? Why that ICM disclosure, on their Website I presume? Maybe to lessen the Blows of what is to come later on? If they divulged all at one time, the stock would plummet to who knows where?
But with ICM making a positive move, at least in one area of contention, the mediation has done something to warrant its existence? But what about the other claims against ICM & the other infringers, plus the $$$ penalties for instance? That's what I want to see? Does it mean that further wrangling has to be undertaken, or possibly forwarded to the Judges for their final approval or decision? I don't know? Yes, some movement has taken place it seems, but where cash is concerned, and huge chunks of it no less, all Hell has to freeze over before those guys will shell-out a dime if not forced to, IMO?
And also, the pressure is on GERS to break-down their $$$ demands, at least the Penalties part of it? Whether they receive anything of equal value for breaking-down their monetary demands, if that is what they are forced to do, we will have to see? But things like that take time if any Monetary compromise, and/or any Traders Agreement, is fully decided upon, which is questionable at this time, as "Hard-Rock" stances often dig-in deep when money is involved?
In the last round of talks, whenever they may be, it will be much like a close Prize fight, where each has to give it his all to take home the BACON...or the BEEF?
We'll just have to wait for the OFFICIAL announcement, just to be sure we get the whole scoop? When Co's make negative announcements, they are measured statements to allay any panic that might set in? So maybe there is more to the settlement than has been publicized so far? I hope we will be able to rejoice a bit, and not be totally disappointed! GLTA.
