Hi Dick, here's my minor spin on this:

Millennial women outearn men -- despite all the income inequality you hear. This means at at a social anthropological level, millennial women have little use for men and certainly don't need to be weighed down by them by having serious relationships by them.

Home Depot has figured out the millennial women are the breadwinners of their age group and since they were brought up to be princesses that Daddy took care of with only the knowledge that a BA education gives, they need help with very very basic home and apartment ownership skills.

I suspect college aged millennial men are fairly useless too, but not tape measure and nail hammering useless.

But they are VERY GOOD at searching the Internet for information and creating PowerPoint presentations !
