You're not wrong to think that at all. It is a battle between longs and the MMs. With low volume they can walk it down but if ticker or news hits while they are short it will be something to see for sure.

They don't like to lose money and will manipulate no matter if it's legal or not. I'm glad to see the SEC is cracking down on the manipulation though
